FAQ

How much of the background story was based upon real events?

Actually, there’s a lot of history in this book. For example, the Hough riots and the sad history of Cleveland in the 60s draws upon documented events that actually set off one of the worst race riots in America’s past.  The names of the actual participants were changed, of course, but those who lived through it will know.

There’s a particular sub plot regarding televangelism. Did that have any roots in real events?
Why was the book set in Cleveland of all places?
